A lot of technology goes into making your cellphone work. So you would think that we would be more understanding of dropped calls and garbled conversations. Nope. Nothing gets geeks into a seething tech frenzy like poor cellphone reception... and it doesn’t help that we couldn’t resist the glossy black smoothness of the iPhone and AT&T sucks for cellphone service. Sad.

Well quit staring at your one-bar-worth of signal strength and pick up this handy Cellphone Signal Extender for your home or office. Simply mount the included antenna near a window and run the coax cable to the base booster unit. You get 2500 square feet of prime signal area (enough to cover 2-3 rooms on two different floors). You can go from 1 bar... to 5.

Modern projection television, flat panel LCDs and plasma TVs have come a long way since the black and white tubes which were first introduced in the 20th century. The TV is the centerpiece and often the TV is the most expensive purchase for one’s home theater system. Someone who truly wants to impress others with their set might ask what is the most expensive television in the wordl?

From Italian company Keymat Industrie comes an expensive television studded with 160 real diamonds, 20 carats. Costing €100,000, the Yalos Diamond is the most expensive TV in the world. This expensive TV has no visible screws or welds, and the aesthetics are the work of Japanese designer Takahide Sano.

The DVD 2 not only plays back standard DVDs, but it also touts a built-in analog TV tuner to capture programming on either a writable DVD or on the 250GB HDD that’s built right in. Additionally, it supports the Guide Plus+ EPG, includes a timer for scheduling recordings, and outputs imagery via HDMI.
Are you feeling constrained by your iPod, tired of plugging in unsightly and unnecessary cables, and just ready to break free of your earphones and start remotin’ the hell out of your music collection? Well if that’s the case, you might want to check into BEXY’s iMirror; a dock, remote control “mirror” (i.e., it displays what your iPod does), and video-out for your player (with video, obviously) that lets you snap your chains and get out of the box... literally. The iMirror can charge and sync your pod via USB, output audio from RCA or mini-phono jack connectors, control playback via the remote, and pipe archaic S-Video output to your TV for the viewing of fond memories — and it does it all for the low, low price of $149.99. Sure, we’ve seen products like this before, but this particular iteration is definitely better looking than most, and certainly a more practical solution than say... using your teeth.

Sharp, the world’s no three TV maker, after Samsung Electronics Co and Sony Corp, have come out with the world’s thinnest and lightest LCD, from their Kameyama factory in Japan. The prototype 52-inch liquid crystal display is 22mm thick and weighs 25kgs and as far as electricity consumption goes, it uses half as much as used for the existing models, about 140kWh (kilowatt hours) per year.

The new LCD TV has a contrast ratio of 100,000 to 1, which varies from the existing 2,000 to 1 for their other models. This guarantees, a clear and vivid image, even in bright rooms. With 50 percent greater color reproduction than what the NTSC signal provides, the colors are bound to look deeper and more life-like. You can view the fast moving images clearly, as it has a response time of 4 milliseconds.I think thats very cool!

The set was exclusively shown to the reporters in Tokyo. Sharp stated that they do not have a schedule for commercializing the display though the buyers could expect to see some of the technologies in the future sets.

Wall mounted TV’s could be an answer to the problem, of frequent earthquakes knocking down TV sets. You will have to wait until 2010 for this amazing piece, when Sharp’s LCD factory in Sakai, western Japan, comes online. For now, the price is for you to guess!

Those black and white and fashionable all over Versace residences at the Plaza have joined the other residences that have snapped up in the revamped New York icon. New York magazine reports that the two apartments, a 1,212-square-foot one bedroom and a 2,656-square-foot two bedroom, have sold for $6.9 million and $12.5 million, For that price I want alot more then that. The purchasers didn’t opt for Versace furnishings. I wonder where they will go, perhaps on to other apartments.

It’s one of those magical kinda bulbs that rise up to mid air without the help of any wires. The levitating bulb is a powered light bulb that stays on like that in the same way without any physical contact, charging or batteries. The total power consumed by the bulb along with the levitation power is less than half the power consumed by the incandescent bulb. The bulb and the casing use electromagnetic technology to lift up the bulb to 2.5′ from the nearest object and to beam the power into the bulb the resonant wireless power system is used. cool right!

you have just moored your yacht in the open ocean. You are relaxing on your deck chair, enjoying the sun. The breeze seems perfect but without warning, dark clouds appear on the horizon. What do you do? You wanted to savor the beauty around you. Why, you dive your vessel under the surface, and wait for the choppy weather to pass. Simple, if your yacht were also a submarine.

In today’s high tech world where people boast of owning luxury yachts, racy speedboats and private helicopters, submarines are the latest entry but with non-disclosure agreements. The age old question for the rich and the famous, ‘What do you give the one who has everything?’, a sub/yhat! or give yourself, probably has an answer. The ultra wealthy have found a way out to shake off the extra dollars and own submarines. These could range from two-seater submersibles to 5,000 square-foot luxury liners. The fact is that very few of them would openly admit to possessing these beauties. However, it has been reported that director James Cameron, co-founder Paul Allen, and Russian oil magnate Roman Abramovich all have subs of their own.

For the billionaire who has always wanted to play Captain Nemo, there is truly no better way to submerge in luxury. Some go for them to prove what all money can buy, but there are others who are genuine undersea enthusiasts. For who would not love to come nose-to-nose with a Black tip shark or lavish the beauty of coral reefs?

In a world of $100-million mega yachts, U.S. Submarines crowning glory is the Phoenix 1000, which has 5,000 square feet of interior space on four levels and can dive up to 1,000 feet. Customizable to the customer’s specific requirements, the only difference between this and a full-on megayacht would be the view for the truly intrepid undersea adventurer. The Phoenix is supplied with a docking mini-sub that can take passengers to an extreme 2000 feet below the surface. The clients can get their submarines done as they wish, with Jacuzzis, gyms, wine cellars and up to 10 bedrooms. They could even go for a basketball court, which would win the trophy of being the world’s most expensive basketball court!

At an estimated cost of US$80 million, the Phoenix 1000 costs as much as the largest mega yachts in the world, and would take about 3 years to build. Not something one picks up over the weekend. Therefore, if you have all that money, you can have the experience worth paying for. The owner can hire a crew from the sub manufacturer, or be on the helm himself. In any case, he is sure to have the time of his life, but with a price of course!

Check out another one - Hawkes Ocean Technology’s Deep Flight Falcon submersible - here!
